Cooran

Cooran has a warm and vibrant community supporting local artisans, makers and growers from around the area.  The township of Cooran is a cosy little country community nestled at the base of Cooran Mountain in the Noosa Hinterland.

A local pre-school and primary school (pre to Year 6) with the Noosa District Campus   located in Pomona and Noosa District High School in Cooroy caters for all ages.   The Cooran General Store and Post Office is within walking distance to shops, cafes and famous The Hinterland Restaurant.  A recent addition to our fabulous township is a microbrewery, Noosa Hinterland Brewery Co.  Step back in time to once was the original Timber Mill and sit back and relax in the atmosphere of great beers brewed onsite and offered for the tastings.

The Cooran Memorial School of Arts is a beautiful community building that’s hosts regular fitness, yoga and acoustic nights and lots of other exciting activities to keep your eye out for.

Cooran’s sporting community boasts a love for their local Cooroora Netball Club along with the Cooran Cutters Football Rugby League.  The Cutters Club House is a welcoming and inviting friendly place to meet with your friends and family and share a great meal and a cold drink.

All in all , we really do live in Paradise, with the wonderful Noosa Tracks and Trails Network on our doorstep and the Tablelands Lookout to explore.
